Why did this happen:
Instead of continuing to invest in aging infrastructure, we made a decision: build something for the future.
LifeSaver Cloud is that platform, and we're inviting every FrameReady customer to make the move.
If you're running FrameReady today, this is also a good moment to look at the full picture. The platforms many FrameReady customers run on, Windows 10, older macOS versions, aging FileMaker installs, have their own expiration timelines, some already past. Running unsupported software carries real business risk: security exposure, no vendor patches, and potential compliance issues.
The cost of staying on outdated technology isn't always obvious until something goes wrong, and the cost of moving is known and manageable now.
Check orders, run reports, and manage your shop from any browser-enabled device. PC, Mac, iPad, phone. No more being tied to the one computer in the back room.
The framing industry has changed significantly, and the gap between what desktop software can do and what your business actually needs has grown too wide to ignore. Vendor catalog updates, online design tools, automatic backups, and real-time inventory across devices aren't nice-to-haves anymore — they're expectations. And they're not things that can be bolted onto a desktop platform.
Additionally, the platforms many FrameReady customers run on, Windows 10, older macOS versions, aging FileMaker installs, have their own expiration timelines, some already past. Running unsupported software carries real business risk: security exposure, no vendor patches, and potential compliance issues.
There's also the reality of running on-premise software in today's environment. When your software lives on a single machine, your business data does too — and that creates real risk. Local hardware is vulnerable to theft, hard drive failure, and ransomware attacks that can permanently erase years of customer orders and job history.
In LifeSaver Cloud, updates are available as soon as we receive them from the supplier. You don't have to do anything to apply the update. It happens automatically, so you're always working with the most current pricing provided by the supplier.

LifeSaver was built from the ground up on the Microsoft Azure platform with cloud security and use cases in mind.
While no system can be 100% guaranteed, having Azure’s enterprise level platform, backups, encryption and end point intrusion detection makes for a much more secure, as well as recoverable, environment.
As an added security measure, LifeSaver has implemented the Azure Application Gateway platform which isolates our servers from direct connection to the Internet. Any intrusion would have to first get past the Application Gateway before any attempt can be made on the servers themselves.
Additionally, LifeSaver maintains current versions of the core technology it is built on, so there is no vulnerability to issues that were resolved in some cases over a decade ago.
Comprehensive training package included with migration, covering POS, work order fulfillment, marketing, and back-office operations.
Cloud-based infrastructure with enterprise-grade security, regular backups, and automatic updates.
